We live on the west side of Coventry near to a lovely park were we walk our dogs.
In 2005 we bought our first Finnish spitz Puppy Sukunimi Miina (Tara). We were so happy with her and found her to be very intelligent. When Tara was 5 months old we decided it would be nice for her to have a pal, so we bought home Sukunimi Gemma. From then on things became very busy and noisy in our household and also very expensive as we had to change the car to an estate to accommodate the girls. Gemma is very different to Tara as she is a lot more laid back and more obedient. Tara is very headstrong and like’s things to be as she wants them not how we want them, so it is a constant battle of wills.
We have totally fallen in love with the breed and we have bred a litter of puppies from Tara and had 3 lovely puppies we have kept two a dog and a bitch.
Subrinian Fox on the Run (Red) and Subrinian Foxy Lady (Lady)
The other dog Subrinian Suburban Fox (Jonsey) went to a loving home.
We have now bred a litter of puppies from Gemma and had four lovely puppies and kept a bitch Subrinian Harvest Gold (Goldie).
As well as being kept busy at home we also show our dogs. Tara won best puppy in Breed at Blackpool in 2005. Gemma has won several 1st & 2nd in Puppy Classes and Post Graduate including a 1st in Post Graduate at Crufts. Lady won 1st in Puppy Bitch and Red won 1st Puppy Dog then went on to win his sister to get Best Puppy in Breed at Birmingham National Championship Show in May 2008, this was their first Show.
Showing takes us all around the country and we get to meet with other Finnish spitz owners and this helps to learn more about this beautiful Breed.
